Curriculum
Our program structure is based on four core facets that complement young women’s growth in today’s society. Although each division will be taught in its individual workshop, in order to obtain the complete overview of the Precious Me Inc each participant must complete all tiers. These tiers are referred to as Precious Gems.

Diamonds are the purest of all precious gems, unbreakable, and the most valuable because of its ability to strengthen the properties of the other gems. Its colorless quality enables it to be a reflector, a powerful yet sensitive characteristic. The Diamond tier is the foundation within Precious Me Inc. It functions as a mirror of self-discovery, a sense of self-worth, as well as a blueprint for understanding one’s individuality and uniqueness.

• Peer-to Peer Mentoring/Encouragement
• Parent/Daughter Relationship Building
• “Cyber Bubble” (Healthy Social Networking and Practices)
Topaz is a natural soother of physical pain. It calms the emotions. Its unique shape and unlimited source of color promote creative and individuality like no other. Though the Topaz can act simply on its own, this as well as the Diamond tier work close with each other to promote a one of a kind beauty on the inside and out. The Topaz tier embarks on the outer beauty, of growing young women. Our focus is not on the importance of appearance over the inner-self, but to highlight the who’s and what’s of outer beauty and how to balance them with the other areas of their lives.

• Holistic/Balanced Nutrition Programs (Facilitated by certified Health coach)
• “Move Your Body” Fitness Forums w/ trained professionals
• Healthy Hygiene Workshops
• “Primped and Pressed” (Pampering and Fashion Etiquette)
• Etiquette Seminars (Facilitated at actual restaurants for hands-on experience)
Ruby marks the mental transformation of young women crossing into womanhood. Within this tier our young women will be exposed to several skills as well as revealing their own unique gifts that will enable them to survive in today’s society. Our life skills sector will invest energy in strengthening the talents of each participant rather than “fixing” weaknesses.

• College/Career Preparation & Development
• MainSTEAM Initiative
The Emerald is the most hands-on and service oriented of all the sectors, exposing our girls to the pay-it-forward mentality that is much needed in all sectors of our communities. Here our young women will gain an understanding and respect of the importance of giving a helping hand to those around her.
